The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) on July 29, 2026, has announced that the implementation of the proposed e-Way Bill system enhancements, which were earlier scheduled to take effect from August 01, 2026, has been kept on hold until further notice.
Consequently, taxpayers and other stakeholders are not required to implement any related changes in the production environment at this stage. GSTN has also stated that the earlier advisories dated June 09, 2026 and June 17, 2026, along with the FAQs issued on July 02, 2026, will be withdrawn from the GST Portal until further communication.
